Mayor Lenz, representants of the City of Karlsruhe and KIT were guests on the last evening of YouConf2015. The theatre group framed the presentations of several workshops by a review from a point of view in the year 2051, when the virtual 35th YouConf takes place.
Mayor for youth issues, Martin Lenz, thanked the young people for bulding bridges between the twin cities through their ideas, their openness and their enthusiasm.
In a stop motion young people showed their ideas of fashion of the future and of a more ecology-minded life in the city.
The group, which tried to find solutions for a new way for coping with the outcome of climate chance and used therefor the method „Design Thinking“, presented concrete proposals: ideas for public relations, a „Climate Change Callenge“-App and a „Green Kard“ for benefits for ecologically sensitive products.
The graffiti-group wished differences between people of diverse origin, age or gender to vanish in future.
Using a sound installation another group dealt with the tones of a city.
How you can build new things with disused things showed practically the results of the Upcycling Group.
Before YouConf 2015 ended with a big farewell party, all the participants receive a certificate, the „Youth Pass“.
After intense labour in the workshop there was time on wednesday afternoon for relaxing and exploring Karlsruhe and surrounds.

The evenings of YouConf2015 are performed by the participants of the twin cities.
With creative games, a quiz, fairy tales and dancing the young people get known to the culture of the others. And after the work of the day there is lot of fun.
Meanwhile people are busy in the workshops and first results can be seen. Young people don’t only think about future cities, there is also building and spraying and composing going on.
These are the activities of the workshops:
- Upcycling – „make new things from old things“ – e.g. hammocks made from bicycle tubes
- Future Cities – the future skyline of Karlsruhe as graffiti
- Design Thinking Рwe can we make a contruíbution to the consequences of climate change
- Come close, make room, get space – the theatre workshop deals with living together in cities
- Animate what you anticipate – a stop motion is generated
- Sounds of the future – what will you hear in the city of the future?
All parcitipants, the organisation team and the workshop leaders were invited on monday morning  to a reception at the City Hall by the Lord Mayor of Karlsruhe.  By representation First Mayor Jäger greeted the group and was pleased that young people from Karlsruhe and the twin cities are giving their contribution to the future of Karlsruhe.

With videos and personal comments the young people introduced themselves and  their hometowns to each other. While talking during dinner and dancing together first friendships were built.
